Eddie Holland, Lamont Dozier and Brian Holland were the top composer/producer team for Motown Records until 1967. 
For better control and greater rewards they left Motown and formed Invictus Records along with Hot Wax Records in 1968. Invictus' most successful acts were Freda Payne and Chairmen of the Board.
