Colossus
Record Corp. was started in late 1969 by producer Jerry Ross, owner of
the Heritage label, and distributed by MGM. Basically the label was responsible
for the short-lived "Dutch Invasion" of early 1970 with top ten hits by
The The George Baker Selection, The Tee Set and The Shocking Blue. Later
minor hits were from The USA with groups like The Mob. The label folded
by summer of 1971 with some artists moving to MGM.
