Label discontinued
Paramount Records was founded in 1969 by Paramount Pictures, mainly to handle the soundtracks from Paramount films. In 1970, the label was sold to Gulf+Western and in 1974 to ABC Records, along with the rest of Gulf+Western's holdings. 
Paramount Records was promptly discontinued.
