From 1967 onwards Tower was also an outlet for smaller labels as Hand, Signpost and Together Records which shared the Tower numbering-system
Named after Capitol's headquarters building, Tower Records was formed as a subsidiary to Capitol Records in 1964.  In the beginning, the label released recordings by British invasion artists. Freddie and the Dreamers' "I'm Telling You Now" became Tower's only #1 hit.
